Land Is What I Know
I'm Paul. I own AcreageTrust, a single-member LLC registered in Connecticut, and I buy land across the country. When you call, you get me — not a call center, not a rotating rep.

How I got here
Before AcreageTrust, I built a landscape business here in Connecticut. Along the way I took on a few land clearing jobs, and that's what started it. I've always been curious about the people who hire me, so I'd ask questions — and one of those clients turned out to be a land investor. That conversation sent me down a rabbit hole I never really came out of.
What I didn't realize at the time was how much of a head start the clearing work had given me. I already knew what it costs to take down timber, what grading a site actually involves, which parcels are a nightmare to work and which ones aren't. Most people come to land investing from a spreadsheet. I came to it from the equipment seat. And because the landscape business had done well, I had my own capital to fund the first deals.
What I actually care about
Honestly, it's the people.
I had a seller once with several wooded acres sitting there doing nothing. Clearing it themselves would have cost a fortune, and they had health problems serious enough that selling on their own was out of the question. They told me what they needed to get for it, I paid it, and they used the money to put a wheelchair ramp on their house. That's a good day at work.
The other thing that gets me going is what land becomes. Taking a raw, overgrown parcel nobody can picture and turning it into something people have real passion for — a well-planned neighborhood, or a homestead where a young family raises their kids and keeps a few chickens and some cattle. I like knowing I had a hand in that.
What I bring to a piece of land
Land clearing, grading, forestry, general improvement. I don't just buy a parcel and flip the paper — I can actually make it better than I found it, and I know what that work costs before I ever make an offer.
On major subdivision projects, I know what homebuilders are looking for and I can secure letters of intent before entitlement work begins, so the land is being developed toward a buyer who's already at the table.
Who's behind AcreageTrust
It's me. But I'm not working alone — I have colleagues and capital partners I bring in deal by deal, matched to what a particular piece of land needs. On entitlement projects that regularly means funding well over $100,000 of survey, engineering and approval work, and site work that can run to seven figures. Between my team and partners, we've closed over 200 land transactions.
How I work
I only want to do deals where everybody walks away feeling good about it. If selling to me isn't your best move, I'll tell you that on the phone. Every purchase closes through a local title company or real estate attorney, we carry title insurance on every deal, and we pay those fees.
Talk to me directly
Call or send a note about your land. You get me, and there's no obligation.
